We hope your December is off to a fantastic start. We have the perfect trio of meals lined up to keep you warm this week. We spent a little more time in the kitchen to keep the prep time light during this busy season. One thing to note – on your recipe sheet, we listed one of the cheeses for the grilled cheese sandwich kit as Gouda. We opted to swap out the Gouda for a nutty Gruyère at the last minute.
And, while we’re on the subject, grilled cheese and tomato soup just sounds so plain. Really, it should be called a melt-in-your-mouth, 2-cheese masterpiece on Madison Sourdough with whipped herb and roasted garlic butter. And the tomato soup is certainly nothing like that canned stuff you ate as a kid. With roasted fennel, confit garlic, shallot and scallion, and heirloom tomatoes from the peak of the season, it’s like the sunshine of summer and the earthiness of fall in one bowl.
