Contemplative Cooking with Chef Felipe Saint-Martin

What if slowing down in the kitchen could change the way you experience food entirely?

Contemplative Cooking is a three-part seasonal series that transforms an evening of cooking into a quiet practice of presence. Led by Chef Felipe Saint-Martin, Culinary Director at Holy Wisdom Monastery and veteran of the Michelin-starred Gramercy Tavern, each session invites you to move through the kitchen with intention: noticing textures, aromas, and sensations as you work, savoring each step of the process, and building a deeper, more personal connection to the food on your plate.

Every session celebrates the flavors of the season through a chef-led demonstration and meal preparation, and a shared sit-down dinner, all grounded in peak local ingredients. You'll leave with copies of every recipe and, we hope, a new way of thinking about what it means to cook and eat well!
