In June we got some friends together to set up a pop up Bake Shop, as a part of the Bakers Against Racism project happening around the country. And, it was such a good (and delicious) way to do some good, we are doing it again!
We are collaborating with pastry chefs and bakers from around the city, and with the fine folks at Door Creek Orchard to put on an Anti-Racism Apple Fest Bake Sale. Order fresh apples for baking or eating at home, and baked treats for pick-up on Saturday, September 19, between 9am-1pm at Pasture and Plenty (2433 University Ave).
Proceeds from this purchase (and ALL purchases on Saturday, Sep 19) will be donated to the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership and the anti-racism work they do through their Justified Anger Program and with business mentorship and lending for Black-owned businesses.
