Bakers Against Racism

Apple Fest Bake Sale

Saturday, October 2nd | 9am - 1pm

Bakers Against Racism: Apple Fest Bake Sale is ON! We're partnering with over a dozen local bakers and Door Creek Orchard to raise funds for racial justice, as part of the Bakers Against Racism campaign happening around the country. Think: pounds upon pounds of delicious, locally grown apples and locally-made baked goods and ice creams galore! Such a delicious way to do some good, don't you think?

In May, the baked goods you purchased enabled us to donate $1,150 to Neighborhood Food Solutions, Rooted and Trade Roots. Proceeds from this Bake Sale (and ALL purchases on Saturday, October 2nd) will be donated to the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership and the anti-racism work they do through their Justified Anger Program and with business mentorship and lending for Black-owned businesses. Learn more about their important work in Madison. All of these organizations are doing vital work in the community working toward eradicating racism.

So order up for your friends, family or, heck, just for yourself (we won't judge). Let's eat well and do well, friends!
